Utah Valley Chamber Celebrates Business of the Month: Costco

PROVO, UT- October 31, 2017 The Utah Valley Chamber Ambassadors (the welcoming arm of the chamber) are proud to announce their November Business of the Month recipient; Costco. The Chamber Ambassadors will be awarding Costco at their Orem location, 9:45 a.m. on November 1. Press, media and public are welcome to attend.

“Costco has been wonderful to work with,” said Ambassador Chair and Habitat for Humanity Director Kena Mathews. “They donate a cake to every ribbon cutting we have! Since we have at least one ribbon cutting a week, that is a big commitment!”

“Amy Conners (Costco’s Marketing Representative) is an active member of the chamber constantly looking for ways to help,” said Chamber President Rona Rahlf, “This year, Conners has supported us in our small business golf tournament, volunteered at several chamber events and attended almost all of our ribbon cuttings. We are fortunate to have her and her company as a member of the chamber.”

When asked about the vast amount of ribbon cuttings that the chamber conducts, Chamber President, Rona Rahlf, stated, “It is great that we have so many grand openings this year! It shows us that businesses want to move here because Utah County is flourishing. It’s our job to welcome businesses (new or old) with open arms. We are thankful to Costco and our members who help us with this process because it creates a tight-knit community where businesses want to stay.”
