The U.S. Air Force Academy Band’s “Academy Winds” to Perform at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

The United States Air Force Academy Band’s “Academy Winds” will perform on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7:30pm, in Madsen Recital Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center, BYU. The evening will feature an eclectic mix of woodwind, percussion, and vocal music by this energetic 6-piece ensemble. Sponsored by the BYU School of Music, this concert is free and open to the public. Tickets may be obtained online at or in-person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center Ticket Office, which is currently under construction. To pick-up free tickets in person, please go to the ticket booth west of LaVell Edwards Stadium. Enter off of Canyon Road. Ticket Office hours are 9:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available at the HFAC ticket office from 9:00 to 5:00.

Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Daniel L. Price, the United States Air Force Academy Band proudly represents the Air Force Academy and its mission to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation. One of nine performing ensembles within the Academy Band, Academy Winds is comprised of six professional active-duty airman musicians. This versatile ensemble presents a unique variety of musical styles from traditional folk to patriotic favorites. Academy Winds supports the Academy Band’s mission to advance the United States Air Force Academy and the Global Air Force Missions by providing professional music products and services for official military, recruiting, and community relations events worldwide.

For over 60 years, the Academy Band has used the power of music to honor our nation’s heroes, inspire Air Force personnel and the nation they serve, produce innovative musical programs and products, and communicate Air Force excellence to millions around the world.
