Utah County officials will be available to address the plans for Bridal Veil Falls and the surrounding area and what it will mean to the citizens of Utah County and the state.

TIME: 1 p.m.

DATE: Thursday, April 13, 2017

LOCATION: Entrance to Provo City’s Bridal Veil Park, Provo Canyon on US Highway 189.  Nunn Park and Bridal Veil Park off-ramp.

BACKGROUND:

Two years ago, Utah County purchased Bridal Veil Falls and the surrounding acreage to preserve and protect this iconic Utah County landmark for future generations.  Long term plans call for the development of a county park.

For the next eight weeks, the trail and the old Canyon Highway from Nunn’s Park and Bridal Veil Park to the Upper Falls Park will be closed while construction crews dismantle the old structure located at the top of the Falls.

This closure is necessary to protect the public from possible falling debris as the structure is removed.  Construction vehicles and helicopters will be used in the demolition.
