Jimmer Fredette’s Fredette Family Foundation Provides 559 Recreational Scholarships For Under-Privileged Youth in Provo

PROVO, UT – Over the last three years, the Fredette Family Foundation’s (FFF) Jimmerosity Jam 3on3 Basketball Tournament to Stop Bullying in Provo has provided 559 recreational scholarships to less-privileged children in Provo, in addition to supporting Kindness initiatives in Provo schools.

The Provo Recreation Center has teamed up with FFF to donate scholarships to families from the event. Proceeds are used for those unable to afford recreational sports fees and gives youth the chance to interact with their community and learn valuable skills and life-lessons as they grow into adulthood. Families can qualify for the available scholarship by showing financial hardship documents.

Blair Giles, FFF President, is very pleased with the results of the 3on3 event the last 3 years. “The Fredette Family Foundation is very proud to partner with Provo Parks & Recreation and the Provo School District to support families and youth,” Giles said. “The value provided by recreational programs and activities has a lasting and positive impact for good for those who participate. The benefits of these programs for the youth and their families cannot be overstated.”

Jimmer Fredette, FFF Founding Member and Director agreed. “We are really proud of what has been accomplished with our Jimmerosity Jam 3on3 Basketball Tournament over the past three years. We look forward to continuing our support of Provo youth and families for many years to come.”

Penn Almoney, Provo Parks & Recreation Sports Supervisor commented, “We are very grateful to Jimmer, Blair, and the Fredette Family Foundation for promoting the anti-bullying message. These events have funded scholarships that have a positive impact

in developing the self-esteem of our youth. We look forward to many more successful years of partnership.”

Caleb Price, Provo City School District Communications Coordinator added “Because of the generous support of the Fredette Family Foundation and the Jimmerosity Jam 3ON3, we have been able to establish Kindness Clubs and anti-bullying programs in every school in the Provo School District. We are very grateful for Jimmer and the foundation’s continued work with our schools.”
